For Taylor Townsend, 2024 has been a hectic but rewarding year. She kicked off her season with a win in the women's doubles event at the Adelaide International before going on to win Wimbledon and the Washington Open. She qualified for the WTA Finals in the women's doubles event alongside Kateřina Siniaková, where the pairs finished as runners-up. Townsend also reached the finals of the US Open in the mixed doubles event.

Opening up about balancing her tennis schedule with motherhood, Townsend revealed that the thing she struggled with was returning home after tournaments, telling The Baller Alert Show,

“In terms of balancing everything, it's a new day every day. It's honestly so hard and then I've realized my biggest struggle is when I leave because I don't travel with my son all the time. So when I leave and I'm on the road and I'm alone I'm fine because I can create my own routine and structure and it's all revolving around me and my schedule, but I really struggle a lot and I'm getting better, but I struggle a lot when I come back home.”

She went on to explain the reason behind her struggle, saying,

“Because then, you go from everything being about you to everything being about everything else, plus the things that you have to do - practice, workouts, recovery, this that, grocery shopping, Jiu-Jitsu, dogs, house you know. So it's like so many different things that I have to juggle when I come back and it goes from nothing to everything.”

After her busy 2024, Taylor Townsend hasn't yet confirmed her tournament schedule for the upcoming season. However, fans are likely to see her in action in Australia in January, as most tennis stars will begin their year in the land down under.
