Thailand Open 2024: Women's draw, schedule, players, prize money breakdown and more

Former champions Dayana Yastremska and Magda Linette will spearhead action at the 2024 Thailand Open 2, set to commence on Monday (September 16). They are among the top four seeds.

Adding value to the draw is the Chinese duo of Wang Xiyu and Wang Xinyu, who will have plenty of support at the start of the Asian swing. Despite the reigning champion Diana Shnaider choosing to give the event a miss this year, there will be plenty of names to look out for.

What is the Thailand Open?

The Thailand Open is a WTA 250 hard-court event held annually in September in Hua Hin, Thailand. The tournament debuted in 2019, with Dayana Yastremska winning the inaugural edition. She beat Ajla Tomljanovic in the summit clash.

Initially a part of the WTA International Tour for its first couple of years, this event was not held for two years between 2021-2022. It returned to the calendar as a WTA 250 event last year and is being held twice in 2024 under the Thailand Open 1 and Thailand Open 2 branding.

Besdies Yastremska, past winners include Zhu Lin, Diana Shnaider, and Magda Linette. No player has won the tournament more than once.

Venue

The tournament will be hosted hosted at Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand. It is the season's second tournament being hosted in the city.
