"Tragedy has struck" - Naomi Osaka suffers mishap involving Rihanna's beauty brand; gives amusing glimpse of aftermath
Naomi Osaka recently shared a picture of her shimmer foundation, which had dried, cracked significantly, and scattered. The foundation, from a brand owned by renowned pop star Rihanna, left Osaka in a weird state afterward.
Osaka's most recent appearance was at the 2024 China Open, where she triumphed over Lucia Bronzetti, Yulia Putintseva, and Katie Volynets in the first three rounds. Unfortunately, she was forced to retire from her fourth-round match against eventual champion Coco Gauff because of a lower back injury.
The lower back injury and an additional abdominal issue, led the four-time Major champion to withdraw from key tournaments, including the Pan Pacific Open and the prestigious Billie Jean King Cup, ultimately ending her 2024 season.
However, the Japanese star has since frequently shared glimpses of her life with fans online. Recently, she showcased new pieces from her fashion collaboration with longtime sponsor Nike.
The World No. 60, shared a glimpse of a cracked foundation from Rihanna's beauty brand 'Fenty' on her Instagram story.
"Tragedy has struck," she wrote.
In another story, Osaka revealed that she picked up the scattered pieces, mixed them with her body lotion, and applied it to her legs. She then shared a humorous image of the result.
"I mixed the pieces that fell on the floor in with the lotion and I fear it's giving Edward," she shared.
