US Open 2024: Who are the men's singles seeds? Ft. Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz

The last Grand Slam of the 2024 season, the US Open, will be played from August 26 to September 8. On the men's side of the draw, Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic will be the top two seeds for the tournament.

Sinner was crowned the World No. 1 earlier this year. The Italian has won five titles in 2024, including the other hard-court Major at the Australian Open. Sinner was eliminated in the fourth round at last year's US Open, losing to Alexander Zverev in five sets.

Last year's champion Novak Djokovic will be the second seed at this year's US Open. Djokovic has had a revival in the last few months, with the former World No.1 reaching the final of Wimbledon and winning the elusive gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Carlos Alcaraz will be the third seed at the New York tournament. The Spaniard has already achieved unprecedented success in 2024, winning the French Open and Wimbledon back-to-back and reaching the final of the Olympics.

Alcaraz's hardcourt form is a bit suspect in the lead-up to New York, but the World No. 3 remains one of the favorites for the title, which he won back in 2022.

2020 runner-up Alexander Zverev and 2021 champion Daniil Medvedev will be the fourth and fifth seeds respectively at the US Open. Both the players have been on the losing side of a Major final this year, with the German losing the final of the French Open and the Russian losing the final of the Australian Open.

Andrey Rublev, Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud (2022 runner-up), Grigor Dimitrov, and Alex de Minaur complete the list of the top 10 seeds at the 2024 US Open.

Even though there are no American players in the top 10 seeds, there are five of them among the 32 seeded players at the 2024 US Open. Taylor Fritz is the highest-seeded American at the event, at No. 12. He is followed by Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton as the 13th and 14th seeds respectively.

The other two American seeds are Sebastian Korda and Frances Tiafoe. Korda is the 16th seed and his recent hard-court form suggests he might make a deep run in New York. Frances Tiafoe had his breakout performance at the US Open when he reached the semi-final in 2022. The World No. 27 is the 26th seed at this year's event.
