US Open 2024 women's final tickets: Prices soar upto $4,500+ for remaining spots in highly-anticipated Jessica Pegula vs Aryna Sabalenka clash

Home favorite Jessica Pegula and World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka are set to lock horns in a blockbuster title clash at the 2024 US Open on Saturday, September 7. With fans scrambling to grab seats for the highly anticipated encounter at Arthur Ashe Stadium, the excitement has caused ticket prices to skyrocket.

Sabalenka, who successfully defended her Australian Open title earlier this year, extended her dominance at the hard-court Slams by reaching her second consecutive final at the New York Major with a 6-3, 7-6(2) win over Emma Navarro. After falling short against Coco Gauff in last year's final, the World No. 2 is seeking redemption at Flushing Meadows.

Pegula, meanwhile, has made a significant career breakthrough at her home Slam. After going 0-6 in Grand Slam quarterfinals, the World No. 6 defeated Iga Swiatek 6-2, 6-4 and claimed a 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 comeback win over Karolina Muchova to reach her first Major final, where she will face the second seed.

Given the high-profile nature of the encounter between the top seeds and the prospect of an American woman triumphing at the New York Major for the second year in a row, the excitement surrounding the clash has caused a scramble for last-minute tickets.

Before the commencement of the tournament, the tickets for the women's final ranged from $338 to $3,058. However, the much-awaited clash between Jessica Pegula and Aryna Sabalenka has pushed prices higher, soaring to $4,553 on Hellotickets.

Jessica Pegula is vying for "revenge" against Aryna Sabalenka in the 2024 US Open final, having recently suffered a 6-3, 7-5 loss to the Belarusian in the Cincinnati Open final. Although the American acknowledged that Sabalenka is likely the favorite to clinch the title, she emphasized her readiness for the "tough" challenge.

"Playing Aryna is going to be really tough. I mean she showed how tough she is, and why she's probably the favorite to win this tournament. It'll be a rematch of Cincinnati, so hopefully I can get some revenge out here," Jessica Pegula said in her on-court interview. "She's gonna be obviously tough to beat. But that's what the finals are for, so I am ready."

Sabalenka, meanwhile, was unfazed by the prospect of facing the home favorite in the final. The World No. 2 admitted that she had learned a valuable lesson after allowing the crowd's overwhelming support for Coco Gauff to affect her performance in last year's title clash.

"No, I don't really care because today was a good test of the crowd cheering for my opponent. Even if it's going to be Pegula, I mean, I don't care, I'm ready to face whoever. Lesson from the last year learned and I really hope I'm going to do a little bit better than I did last year," Sabalenka said.

As Aryna Sabalenka chases her third Grand Slam title, she will enter the final with a 5-2 head-to-head record against Jessica Pegula. However, it would be unwise to discount the American after the stellar display of her fighting spirit in the semifinals.
