"Vamos chica" - Paula Badosa delighted to team up with Ons Jabeur for doubles at Miami Open 2023

Paula Badosa expressed her enthusiasm to be teaming up with Ons Jabeur for doubles at the 2023 Miami Open.

Before setting their sights on the Miami Open, both Paula Badosa and Ons Jabeur suffered second-round exits at the recently concluded WTA 1000 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. Badosa battled past compatriot Nurria Parizas-Diaz before falling to eventual champion Elena Rybakina.

Meanwhile, Ons Jabeur had a challenging match against Magdalena Frech on return from an injury layoff. She eventually prevailed after a tough three-sets encounter before losing to Marketa Vondrousova in the next round. The Tunisian admitted that she may have rushed her comeback from injury while making the tough decision to compete in Indian Wells.

On March 22, the official WTA Twitter account announced the Miami Open doubles pairing between Jabeur and Badosa with a humorous clip of the pair jamming out to Beyonce's 'Crazy in Love'.
