Venus Williams flexes her buffed left biceps after hitting the gym, jokes that her right arm is even bigger
Venus Williams recently gave fans a glimpse of her gym session. The American tennis star was working out while flexing her buffed left biceps but joked that her right arm is even bigger.
Williams took to Instagram and shared a video of her seemingly using the exercise bike while flexing her left arm. In the background, she used the 1982 song 'Muscles' produced by Michael Jackson and performed by American singer Diana Ross. She captioned the video:
"Ok it's the left arm, my right one is bigger ;)"
In the next story, Williams shared a mirror selfie sporting a chic, athletic look right after her cycling session, as hinted by the bicycle emoji in her caption. She paired a stylish, cropped green zip-up jacket with sleek black slacks from Lacoste, tagging the brand on the story. She humorously captioned the image:
"Not long after... [cycling emoji] These slacks be slacking"
44-year-old Williams continues to focus on her fitness as she has no plans of retiring from the sport anytime soon.
"I’m not done with the racket yet" - Venus Williams to continue playing tennis in 2025
In the past few years, Venus Williams has rarely appeared on court owing to her recurring injuries and age. The 44-year-old played only two tournaments in 2024 - the Miami Open and the Indian Wells. However, at both events, she faced a first-round exit.
Venus' younger sister Serena embraced retirement two years ago but the elder sibling has no such plans yet. In a recent interview with The Irish News, Venus said she is in a good place where she can pick and choose events she wants to play.
"I’m not done with the racket yet... At this point, it’s about picking and choosing places I want to be. Last year I really wanted to play in Miami – home – because I hadn’t played there in like five years," Venus said.
"It’s nice to be in a place where I can pick and choose, but my game is always at a high level. Even if I’m not on tour, I always keep my game quite high," she added.
While being away from the sport most of the year, Williams has continued partnering with brands and featuring on the cover pages of magazines. She also recently released a health and wellness guidebook titled "STRIVE: 8 Steps to Find Your Awesome."
