Victoria Azarenka makes revelation about son Leo's disinterest in tennis; drops hints about how she celebrated his birthday
Victoria Azarenka invited fans to a Q&A on Monday, December 23. After a day's wait, she answered a few, most of which were about her son Leo.
Azarenka has texted the answers and will soon upload clips for a few "fun and interesting ones."
"It’s been a while since I’ve done some Q&A with you all! I’ll film some answers for the most fun and interesting questions. Send in your questions #askVika," Victoria Azarenka tweeted.
The World No. 20 took to X and answered questions ranging from picking a kitchen color to her coffee choice. She also shared snippets of her son Leo's life in her answers.
One of the fans asked:
"Would you encourage Leo to become a pro player or even coach him?"
Azarenka revealed her son's disinterest in the sport and answered:
"He's not really into tennis so I'm not sure it will be for him."
Another fan was curious about Leo's birthday gift:
"What did Leo get for his birthday?"
Leo turned 8 on December 19. Azarenka had wished her son on social media but had not shared any pictures or details of the celebrations. She humorously dodged the questions and wrote:
"He was spoiled. Let's just leave it at that."
The day after Leo's birthday, the mother-son duo attended an NHL game between the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Victoria Azarenka took a break from her tennis career to give birth to her son Leo with her then-partner Billy McKeague in 2016. The couple split up a year later, followed by a legal custody battle for Leo. The Belarusian returned to the WTA Tour after a maternity break in 2017 and eventually gained custody of her son in 2018.
Leo is a central figure in Azarenka's life and often features on her social media. On December 19, she took to Instagram to pen an emotional note to her son on his birthday.
"There’s a special bond between a mom and her son—it’s unbreakable, filled with love and laughter, and one of life’s greatest gifts. You’re my sunshine on a cloudy day, my greatest inspiration, and the reason I smile," an excerpt from Victoria Azarenka's note read.
Azarenka regularly shares details from mother-son outings and other activities on social media. She also takes great pride in the 8-year-old's athletic prowess who signed a contract with the Florida Kings ice hockey team in May this year.
