WATCH: Caroline Wozniacki takes a 'full power' tee-ball hit from daughter Olivia; jokingly squirms in pain during hilarious moment
Caroline Wozniacki hilariously squirmed on the ground after taking a “full power” tee-ball shot from her three-year-old daughter, Olivia. Being a child of the Danish tennis star and former NBA player David Lee, Olivia seemed to be showing off her athletic genes.
Wozniacki took to Instagram to share a short video of her daughter lining up a tee-ball shot. Olivia struck the ball with "full power," which hit her mother. The 34-year-old then rolled around, holding her thigh and jokingly squirming in pain while laughing upon getting hit.
She captioned the video:
"Somehow I am always the one getting hit"
Wozniacki previously revealed that her young daughter has been taking a keen interest in tennis.
"Olivia all of a sudden has gotten obsessed with tennis" - Caroline Wozniacki
Caroline Wozniacki, a 2018 Australian Open winner, got married to former NBA star David Lee in 2019. The Dane retired from the sport after the Melbourne Slam in 2020 to focus on her family. The couple welcomed daughter Olivia in 2021 and son James a year later.
During the North American hardcourt season, Wozniacki returned to the WTA tour in 2023. She participated in the US Open that year and during a press conference ahead of the New York Major, she talked about balancing motherhood and tennis with her kids on tour.
Wozniacki reflected on how different it felt to be back on the tour as a competitor after her time away. While she still followed a structured routine, making sure she was on-site for training and practice, her priorities had shifted.
Once her day at the tournament wrapped up, she headed straight back to spend time with her kids.
"In general, it's just a different schedule. It's just a nice balance, as well, when I go back to the hotel room, the two kids are so excited to see me. Olivia all of a sudden has gotten obsessed with tennis. I see a tennis ball for probably this afternoon another couple of hours," Caroline Wozniacki said.
In a press conference at the US Open this year, Wozniacki shared that while marriage did not change her approach to tennis, having kids brought a new perspective.
"Obviously, my kids are there every single day, and I really appreciate it. It's the best job in the world, and I love it," she said.
Talking about the challenges of balancing motherhood with her competitive drive Wozniacki said she sometimes felt a sense of "mom guilt" when focusing on her tennis, but was determined to manage both roles.
