Watch: Daniil Medvedev reveals his favorite movie, football team, artist and more

Daniil Medvedev engaged in a Q and A session on Tuesday where the player revealed his favorite movie, sports team, music artist and more.

Medvedev has taken some time off the court after a busy start to the season, having played at the Adelaide International 1 and Australian Open in January. During his spare time, the Russian divulged his numerous interests to his fans via an interview with Eurosport.

When asked about his favorite TV character, Medvedev was quick to come up with Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother, played by Neil Patrick Harris.

"Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. Haha...he is amazing," Medvedev said.

The 26-year-old said that Marshmello is his favorite music artist, stating that he liked that the artist's identity is hidden.

"I'll go with Marshmello just because I like the concept where he's super famous but nobody knows who he is. Atleast not many people," the Russian stated.

When asked about his preferred destination, Medvedev revealed that it was Shanghai, China. He hopes to play there again soon.

"My favorite destination is Shanghai. Because, I haven't been there for a long time and I really like the city. So, hopefully we can play there some time soon," he expressed.

The former US Open champion also revealed that Catch Me If You Can starring Leonardo DiCaprio is his favorite movie and his favorite sports team is a German football club Bayern Munich.

When asked to pick one favorite from all of his answers, Medvedev went with Bayern Munich.

As far as tennis is concerned, Daniil Medvedev last played at the Grand Slam Down Under, where he had a disappointing campaign, suffering a third-round exit against Sebastian Korda in straight sets.

After almost winning the title at the Australian Open in 2022, Daniil Medvedev landed in Melbourne for the 2023 edition with huge expectations.

Aiming for the second Grand Slam title of his career, the Russian commenced his campaign with impressive straight-sets wins in the first two rounds. However, he was outclassed by youngster Korda at the Rod Laver Arena in the third round.

Due to a sub-standard outing in Melbourne, Medvedev fell four spots down to No. 12 in the ATP rankings. This is the first time that the Russian has crashed out of the Top 10 since July 2019.
