Iga Swiatek and her father, Tomasz, shared a heartwarming embrace following her historic French Open title win. The World No. 1 rushed over to him to celebrate her third consecutive title at Roland-Garros.
Two-time defending champion, Swiatek defeated the likes of qualifier Leolia Jeanjean, former World No.1 Naomi Osaka, Marie Bouzkova, Anastasia Potapova, fifth seed Marketa Vondrousova, and third seed Coco Gauff to secure her place in her fourth French Open title bout.
In the final, the Pole faced off against 12th seed Jasmine Paolini and emerged victorious with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 win in just over an hour. This victory marked Iga Swiatek's fourth French Open title and her fifth Grand Slam title overall.
With this win, Swiatek became the first woman in a decade to win three consecutive titles in any of the four Grand Slam tournaments.
By maintaining a perfect 5-0 record in Grand Slam finals, Swiatek joined the ranks of tennis legends Margaret Court and Monica Seles as the third player in the Open Era to win her first five or more Major finals.
Following her win over Jasmine Paolini, Iga Swiatek took a moment to bask in the cheers of the spectators at Court Philippe-Chatrier before rushing up to the stands where her team, family, and friends were seated. She embraced her team and friends before sharing a heartfelt hug with her father, Tomasz.

Iga Swiatek's father Tomasz once opened up about financial struggles he went through during World No.1's early training days
Earlier this year, Iga Swiatek's father, Tomasz, talked about the challenges he and his family faced at one point in time.
Tomasz revealed that they were experiencing severe financial difficulties, to the point where he had to inform Swiatek that she may have to halt her tennis training due to the costs involved.
"It has long been known that Iga has a gift for playing. However, there were obstacles along the way. There was a moment when I was against the wall financially. When I explained to Iga that there might come a time when we would have to stop training, I was convinced to try again," Tomasz Swiatek told Jacek Kurowski in the "Eye to Eye" series (via TVP Sport).
Tomasz revealed that his daughter was "restless" upon hearing about their financial situation, as she was passionate about continuing her training. He stated that despite the difficulties, the Pole remained understanding, respectful, and "obedient" throughout the ordeal.
"Iga was restless. Such a rumble. I can't say she was rude. She was obedient. It was always full of it," he said.
