WATCH: Jessica Pegula, Jennifer Brady & others bring the fun to Madison Keys' wedding, recreate viral TikTok dance to Charli XCX's hit song 'Apple'
Jessica Pegula, Jennifer Brady, Desirae Krawczyk, and several other tennis stars recently attended Madison Keys' wedding. At the event, they also recreated the viral TikTok dance to Charli XCX's hit song "Apple."
Madison Keys and her husband, Bjorn Fratangelo first met while training in Boca Raton, Florida. They began dating in 2017, and after six years of being together, got engaged in March 2023. A year later, the couple tied the knot on Sunday, November 24.
The event was attended by several WTA tour stars, including Keys' close friends Jessica Pegula, Jennifer Brady, Sloane Stephens, Taylor Townsend, and Desirae Krawczyk. During the celebration, Pegula, Brady, Krawczyk, and the other players danced their hearts out and joined in on the viral TikTok dance to Charli XCX's "Apple."
In the video, while the other players focused on following the choreography, Jessica Pegula added a fun twist by dancing with a drink in hand. The 2024 US Open runner-up even paused during the routine to take a sip of her drink.
Madison Keys on her husband Bjorn Fratangelo: “We balance each other out pretty well”
During an interview with Tennis.com in July 2020, Madison Keys expressed that she and Bjorn Fratangelo complement each other quite well.
“We balance each other out pretty well. He likes to always be doing something, and I could lay on the couch for hours and not even realize it,” Keys said [via Tennis.com].
Keys also mentioned that she has helped Fratangelo "chill out" a bit, while he always keeps her on her toes.
“I think I’ve helped him chill out when he starts getting antsy about being home. We don’t have to be doing something in particular to enjoy being together. We laugh together a lot and Bjorn is constantly keeping me on my toes,” she added.
Madison Keys and Bjorn Fratangelo have played together in a mixed doubles event. They competed together at the 2022 US Open after they received a wildcard to the mixed doubles event.
Keys and Bratangelo began their campaign at the New York Major with a solid victory over another American wildcard pair Jaeda Daniel and Richard Ciamarra, 6-4, 6-2 in the first round. However, they exited the tournament in the following round after losing 4-6, 2-6 to the second-seeded pair of Zhang Shuai and Mate Pavic.
