Watch: Novak Djokovic fails hysterically at The Whisper Challenge with Grigor Dimitrov, mistakes 'turtles' for 'chick'

Novak Djokovic, one of the most fun-loving players on the tour, participated in an extremely entertaining game called The Whisper Challenge with Grigor Dimitrov, and the outcome was as expected.

Unless it's a tour-level match, Djokovic is known for entertaining the audience with his hilarious antics like dance moves, imitation of other players, and engaging in light-hearted games. There has hardly been an exhibition event or charity match where the 22-time Grand Slam champion did not make the crowd chuckle.

One such video has surfaced recently from the inaugural edition of the World Tennis League, a mixed-team exhibition tournament played in Dubai last December. Djokovic was part of Team Falcons, which also had the services of former World No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov, 2023 Australian Open winner Aryna Sabalenka, and former World No. 2 Paula Badosa.

The video shows the Serb wearing headphones and trying to guess a couple of phrases thrown at him by Dimitrov.

Dimitrov: The greatest show on court.
Novak: Let's go one by one.
Dimitrov: The greatest.
Novak: T-Rex?
Dimitrov: Show.
Novak: Jaw?
Dimitrov: On court.
Novak: Horse horse?

This was where Dimitrov lost it and burst into laughter as Djokovic looked confused. However, the Bulgarian jokingly commended him and continued the game with a new phrase.

Dimitrov: Very good. Where are the turtles?
Novak: World-class chick? (both laugh uncontrollably)

Team Falcons failed to reach the finals in the first edition of the World Tennis League. Team Hawks (Alexander Zverev, Elena Rybakina, Dominic Thiem, and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova) beat Team Kites (Iga Swiatek, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Holger Rune, and Sania Mirza) to become the first champions at the event.

Speaking to Eurosport recently, 11-time Grand Slam champion Bjorn Borg weighed in on the longevity of Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. The Swedish legend tipped the Spaniard to play for another year before hanging up his racquet. However, Borg stated that the Serb is here to stay and is determined to break all the records that are left.

"Novak, I think he might win one or two more Grand Slam tournaments," Borg said. "Unbelievable. He's still pushing the limits. He wants to be the greatest. He wants to win more tournaments, break all the records in tennis history. I mean, he is a fantastic player."
"But to have these guys involved with tennis, you never know what Rafa is going to do, maybe play one more year. I don't know. It is up to him mentally or his body or whatever. But Novak is going to be around for a few more years," he added.

Neither of the two members of the Big 3 is playing at the 2023 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. The World No. 1 was denied entry due to his unvaccinated status against COVID-19 and the Mallorcan is recovering from a hip injury suffered at the 2023 Australian Open.
