As the 2024 US Open is about to begin, a few tennis stars such as Frances Tiafoe, Ons Jabeur, and Paula Badosa, among others, have offered their predictions for who might clinch the titles. Their predictions give fans a glimpse of potential winners as the tournament moves forward in New York.

You can see the players' picks below:

Russian tennis ace Daria Kasatkina backed her fellow countryman Daniil Medvedev to claim the title. She referred to the 2021 US Open champion as "our guy, our guy." Further, Sebastian Korda selected Coco Gauff as his top pick, while Denis Shapovalov favored Iga Swiatek to emerge victorious.

Former World No. 1 Victoria Azarenka named her top three favorites to clinch the title: Carlos Alcaraz as the strongest to win; Jannik Sinner, if he stays in his best health, and Novak Djokovic. Along with the three names, she also spoke about Tommy Paul's potential to lift the title.

Saying she was navigating a decision between her heart and mind, Paula Badosa decided on her partner Stefanos Tsitsipas, with whom she recently won the Mixed Madness ahead of the last Major of the year. Sofia Kenin and Ons Jabeur asserted Alcaraz and Sinner as their respective choices. Frances Tiafoe picked Gauff as his primary choice for the women's title, calling her his "1A" pick, with Aryna Sabalenka following as "1B."

While Carlos Alcaraz and Coco Gauff are in pursuit of their second US Open title, Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka will be bidding for their first title at Flushing Meadows.

Spanish star Alcaraz claimed his first title in 2022 as the third seed. He defeated Casper Rudd 6–4, 2–6, 7–6(1), 6–3 in the final, also claiming the World No. 1 singles ranking. Gauff will be defending her title, having claimed victory last year by winning against Sabalenka 2–6, 6–3, 6–2.

The two-time Australian Open Champion Sabalenka will be vying for her first New York Major title in 2024, with her first match coming against Australia's Priscilla Hon. Meanwhile, current men's World No.1 Sinner is on a quest to add the US Open title to his impressive list of accomplishments.
