In her first Olympics in Tokyo, Maria Camila Osorio lost in the first round against Switzerland's Viktorija Golubic. She has made significant strides since then and defeated tough competition at the Paris Olympics before facing defeat in the third round.

World No. 83 Osorio faced World No. 11 Jelena Ostapenko in the first round at the Paris Games. The Colombian put up an impressive display to win the match 6-4, 6-3. In the second round, the 22-year-old defeated World No. 28 Dayana Yastremska 7-6(4), 6-4.

Osorio's toughest test came in the third round on Tuesday, July 30, when she took on World No. 9 Danielle Collins. Osorio was bageled in the first set but found her composure to win the second. The American, however, was too good for the young Colombian who lost 0-6, 6-4, 3-6.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal took to the Court Philippe-Chatrier amidst much fanfare at the Paris Olympics. In the singles event, he faced Hungary's Marton Fucsovics in the first round and defeated him 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.

The Spaniard was pitted against top seed Novak Djokovic in the second round. The Serb managed to win his 60th battle against Nadal to extend his lead over him to 31-29.

Nadal, however, continues his run at the Olympics in the doubles event with Carlos Alcaraz. The Spanish pair will take on the Netherlands' Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof on Tuesday, July 30.
