WATCH: Stefanos Tsitsipas all nerves, drops epic reaction to watching Daniil Medvedev play with Laver Cup title on the line on final day

Stefanos Tsitsipas was visibly nervous while watching Daniil Medvedev's singles match on the final day of the 2024 Laver Cup. Eventually, Team Europe defeated Team World to claim their fifth Laver Cup title, their first since 2021.

The seventh edition of the Laver Cup was held this year at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany. Team Europe was captained by Bjorn Borg for the final time, with the lineup boasting players like Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Grigor Dimitrov, Tsitsipas, Flavio Cobolli, and Jan-Lennard Struff.

Meanwhile, Team World, who were aiming to win their third consecutive title, was captained by John McEnroe and had players like Thanasi Kokkinakis, Ben Shelton, Alejandro Tabilo, Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz, and Francisco Cerúndolo.

During the final day of the tournament, Team Europe gained an early advantage with a doubles victory from Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud, defeating Team World's Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe 6–2, 7–6(6). In the singles matches, Daniil Medvedev faced Ben Shelton, ultimately losing 6-7(6), 7-5, 10-7.

However, what caught the attention of many was Tsitsipas' demeanor during The Greek player exhibited visible signs of anxiety, pacing around the locker room, seeking refuge behind a wall to alleviate his nerves, and even engaging in conversation with Borg to regain composure.

Both Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev played two matches each at the 2024 Laver Cup. Tsitsipas competed in both singles and doubles matches during the tournament.

In the singles match, Tsitsipas competed against Team World's Thanasi Kokkinakis on Day 1. Tsitsipas emerged victorious with a score of 6-1, 6-4, contributing to Team Europe's 1-1 tie after Casper Ruud's defeat to Argentine Francisco Cerundolo by a score of 4-6, 4-6 in the first match.

Tsitsipas then teamed up with Ruud for a doubles match but unfortunately lost to the duo of Ben Shelton and Alejandro Tabilo with a score of 1–6, 2–6.

Daniil Medvedev, on the other hand, played two singles matches at the 2024 Laver Cup. His first match was against Frances Tiafoe, resulting in a loss with a score of 6–3, 4–6, 5–10. He played his most recent match on the final day, facing Ben Shelton. He was defeated by the American with a score of 7–6(8–6), 5–7, 7–10.
