The highly anticipated 2023 Indian Wells final will feature top seed Carlos Alcaraz and fifth seed Daniil Medvedev.

The World No. 2 is on a winning streak in the Californian desert, securing his fifth consecutive straight-set victory by defeating Jannik Sinner. This impressive feat has led him to his third final in as many tournaments this season. Alcaraz has already claimed victory at the Argentina Open and narrowly missed out on the Rio de Janeiro final, both against Cameron Norrie.

Carlos Alcaraz's upcoming meeting with the Russian will mark the second time the two have faced off in a match. Medvedev emerged victorious in their previous encounter at Wimbledon in 2021, winning in straight sets.

In the post-match press conference, the teenager expressed his desire to compete against the world's top players.

"I really want to play against the best tennis player in the world. I always say that if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best, and I would say that Daniil is the best player right now... amazing winning streak," Carlos Alcaraz said to ATPTour.com.

He added that the final against Medvedev would not be an easy one.

"For me, it's going to be a really difficult challenge but I'm really prepared for that. I will summon my best tomorrow in the final," he said.

Alcaraz and Medvedev will face-off in the finals of the BNP Paribas Open in indian Wells on Sunday, March 19.
