Taking a break from his pre-season training, Alcaraz recently launched his 'Feet on the Ground' exhibition in collaboration with his foundation, with the aim of highlighting the importance of providing equal opportunities for children. While at the inauguration event, the 21-year-old shed light on his ordinary childhood with his parents, his elder brother Alvaro, and younger brothers, Sergio and Jaime.

Carlos Alcaraz explained that while he didn't grow up surrounded by "big luxuries," their family always had what they needed. The Spaniard expressed contentment with his normal childhood, disclosing his appreciation for the little things in life.

"When I was a kid we didn't have big luxuries. But the small things make the difference. We came from a medium-class family where he had what was necessary. I was always happy with what I had," Alcaraz said.

Alcaraz also conveyed his gratitude for his journey from an ordinary child with a passion for tennis to his professional success, highlighting his desire to help other children with the same opportunities to follow their dreams.

"I was passionate about sport and tennis in particular, but it was a very normal childhood. Today we are here, feeling very lucky and grateful and wanting to do our bit by getting moving for children," he added.

In an interview with ABC following his triumph at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, Carlos Alcaraz opened up about living under his "parents' rules" at home. The Spaniard asserted that it allowed him to disconnect from tennis and remain the same person he was before the success and fame.

"Once I set foot in my house, I am under my parents' rules. So it doesn't matter if I've won two Grand Slams or fifteen. They are the ones who rule and I think that's the beauty of it. Once I get home I forget about the tennis part and I'm the same person as always," Carlos Alcaraz said.

Alcaraz also emphasized that he found pleasure in the simplicity of his life at home, admitting that it was what he missed the most while traveling on tour.

"Being at home, calm, with my people. Without doing much, because at home I enjoy not doing big things, but doing the simplest and most natural things. That's what characterizes me and what I enjoy the most. That's what I miss the most," he added.

Carlos Alcaraz has also acknowledged his parents' role in keeping him grounded after every tournament win and substantial addition to his prize money earnings, expressing his gratitude to his family for treating him like a "normal guy."
