"What a sick man"- Martina Navratilova slams Donald Trump after his controversial comments about one-year-old daughter Tiffany's body resurface
Martina Navratilova recently slammed former US President and the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump, for his controversial comment about her daughter Tiffany Trump when the latter was just one year old.
Trump appeared on one of the episodes of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous in 1994, where he made a controversial statement about his then-one-year-old daughter, Tiffany. The show's host, Robin Leach, was speaking to Trump and his then-wife, Marla Maples, about what characteristics their little daughter inherited from her parents.
The video of this episode has resurfaced. In the video, Trump says,
"I think that she's got a lot of Marla, she's really a beautiful baby. She's got Marla's legs. We don't know whether or not she's got this part yet but time will tell."
He accompanied the latter part of his answer by holding his hands in front of the chest to represent breasts. Although this incident is almost 30 years old, it has drawn criticism in the present.
Tennis legend Martina Navratilova shared this video on X (formerly Twitter) and took a dig at Trump, saying,
"What a sick man.. he has been damaged for a long time now..."
This is not the first time Navratilova has spoken out against Donald Trump; she recently criticized him for calling himself a "protector" of women.
Martina Navratilova slammed Donald Trump for his statement about protecting women
Martina Navratilova took aim at Donald Trump with her comments after he addressed women's admiration for him during an election rally in Pennsylvania. He said:
"I always thought women liked me. I never thought I had a problem. But the fake news keeps saying women don’t like me."
He further claimed that women were now "less safe" than compared to when he was president. He also added,
"Because I am your protector. I want to be your protector. As president, I have to be your protector. I hope you don’t make too much of it. As president, I have to be your protector."
Following this, an X user reacted to his comments, saying,
"Women don’t need Donald Trump to “protect us.”We need to protect ourselves, our kids and our country… from him."
Sharing the user's post, Martina Navratilova added that women needed to be "left alone" as they have the capability of protecting themselves. She wrote,
"Exactly- we women need to be left the heck alone- we can protect ourselves just fine if so many men like you just stop attacking us , most of all physically. The emotional abuse we can deal with just fine without your help, donold…."
Navratilova is one of tennis' greatest ever players, winning 59 Grand Slam titles over her career.
