Cahill also had success in the women's game as he was Simona Halep's coach during the Romanian's peak form back in 2017-2018, helping her win the French Open and become the World No. 1 back then.
The other part of Sinner's coaching team is his compatriot Simone Vagnozzi. Vagnozzi was a professional tennis player as well, but the Italian never won any ATP Tour level titles and never qualified for the main draw at any of the Majors. He joined Sinner's coaching team in 2022 and has been one of the pillars of support for the Italian to rise to the top echelon of the sport.
