"Why does Carlos Alcaraz do this to himself" "This is a crime" - Fans 'traumatized' by Spaniard's new 'Peaky Blinders' haircut as he enjoys off-season
Carlos Alcaraz was recently spotted enjoying his off-season with a fresh haircut. However, the trend of tennis fans being disappointed by the Spaniard's hairstyles continued, as they humorously lamented his barber's recurring missteps.
Alcaraz was recently in action at the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga, competing alongside Rafael Nadal in the final tournament of his compatriot's career. Despite his desire to send Nadal off with a title, the World No. 3 aim was left unfulfilled as Spain suffered a devastating loss to the Netherlands in the quarterfinals.
Since then, Carlos Alcaraz has been taking a well-deserved break, being captured enjoying his time on the golf course and relaxing with friends. However, what caught everyone's attention was the 21-year-old's new haircut.
Carlos Alcaraz's latest look left fans "traumatized," with many questioning why he consistently opted for these perceived unflattering hairstyles.
"I'm traumatized π, you better grow that hair back before setting foot on a tennis court carlitos ππππ," one fan posted.
"What on earth happened to the front of that haircut?πππ," another fan chimed in.
"Why does he do this to himself," said another.
"My reaction when I saw Alcaraz's new haircut," a fan posted.
After previously declaring the 21-year-old's stylist Victor the "worst barber," fans hilariously criticized him for his "crimes" and joked that he had somehow outdone his previous "disaster class."
"Genuinely didnβt know it could get worse than the post olympics disaster class from victorbarber," another fan remarked.
"Oh, it's victorbarber the legend. Somebody should lock him up because this is a crime lol," said another.
Others joked that the haircut gave Alcaraz a distinctly British look, with one fan quipping that he resembled a character from the show 'Peaky Blinders.'
"He looks British now. Weβre claiming him sorry Spain," one fan quipped.
"Every young lad down the pub and in the clubs on a Saturday looks like this. As soon as you turn 18 you are inducted with a skin fade," another fan joked.
"Bro finna join the peaky blinders," said yet another.
"To complete the 'Grand Slam'" - Carlos Alcaraz sheds light on his goal for Australian Open 2025
Carlos Alcaraz has already set his sights on a lofty goal for his campaign at the 2025 Australian Open. Speaking to Marca during the ATP Finals, the Spaniard shed light on his aim to complete the career Grand Slam at the Melbourne Major.
Alcaraz also disclosed that he already had a tattoo in mind to commemorate his first title at the Melbourne Slam, choosing a kangaroo as a fitting tribute to the Australian event.
"I have it in mind, I have in mind to get a tattoo of the kangaroo. I'm going to try to have a good holiday first. For me it's super important to be able to disconnect from tennis," Carlos Alcaraz said.
"And to come back fresh for the pre-season so that it's brilliant, brutal, to arrive in Australia in the best possible shape both tennis-wise, physically and mentally. The goal is to complete the 'Grand Slam' in Melbourne," he added.
Carlos Alcaraz will face formidable competition from the defending champion Jannik Sinner, World No. 2 Alexander Zverev, and two-time finalist Daniil Medvedev in his quest for the title. The Spaniard reached the quarterfinals in Melbourne this year before suffering a four-set loss to Zverev.
