"Will prove to be useful" - Serena Williams hilariously hints at exposing daughter Olympia's secrets after revealing she "talks in her sleep"

Serena Williams playfully hinted at revealing her eldest daughter Olympia's secrets after disclosing that the six-year-old talks in her sleep. Williams married entrepreneur and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in New Orleans in November 2017. The couple have two daughters, Olympia, born in September 2017, and Adira River Ohanian, born in August 2023.

Williams and Ohanian often share moments from their daughters' lives on social media, from significant milestones to everyday moments.

Ohanian, in particular, has talked about his close relationship with Olympia. He frequently shares glimpses of the father-daughter activities the duo engages in, such as baking, creating pancake art, golfing, collecting sports cards, collecting memorabilia, and so on.

Recently, Williams took to social media and shared that Olympia has a sleep-talking habit. The tennis star joked that information could come in handy in the future, as she would know Olympia's secrets, revealed while she had been asleep:

"My daughter @OlympiaOhanian talks in her sleep. This will prove to be useful in the future 🙈 . (I hear the secrets that you keep… when tou talking in your sleep 🎵 🎶 )" Williams posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Serena Williams on making daughters Olympia & Adira understand her contribution to tennis: "I’ll definitely have that conversation with them"

During an interview with The New York Times, Serena Williams shared that she planned to discuss her achievements and contributions to tennis with her daughters Olympia and Adira.

She added that navigating this conversation has proven to be "tricky":

"It’s tricky. Olympia told me the other day, 'You’re famous.' And I’m like: 'Oh, not really. I’m just your mom.' So I don’t know," Williams said.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion explained that she plans to have this conversation with her daughters when the time is right and when she feels more "settled" within herself. She stated that she will highlight the impact she has made not only in tennis but also beyond the sport to her daughters:

"I just feel like when the time comes — and, honestly, when it’s settled in for me too — I’ll definitely have that conversation with them, and I’ll let them know the potentially, the important, you know, the … I don’t want to be too presumptuous, but the impact I have had on sport and beyond," she added.

Williams finished her career with 39 Grand Slams to her name - 23 in singles, 14 in women's doubles, and two in mixed doubles. She retired from the sport at the 2022 US Open, where she reached the third round, where she was defeated by Ajla Tomljanovic.
