WTA China Open 2024: Where to watch, TV schedule, live streaming details & more
The 2024 China Open promises plenty of fireworks, with the likes of Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, and Elena Rybakina, all vying for the prestigious title in the Chinese capital. The 18th edition of the event will kick off on September 25 and conclude on October 6.
Swiatek enters the 2024 China Open as the defending champion, having beaten Liudmila Samsonova 6-2, 6-2 in last year's final.
The Pole will once again lead the line at this year's event and will be looking to capture a sixth title of the season and her fifth WTA 1000 crown. She's had a rather disappointing North American hardcourt swing and will be looking to make amends in the final quarter of the season.
Fresh off her maiden US Open triumph recently, Sabalenka will be the player to beat, given her rich vein of form off late. She has won two Grand Slam titles already this year and will be eager to make it two WTA 1000 titles too.
Pegula and Rybakina will round out the top four seeds. Both players will aim to make a strong comeback in Beijing as they make a final push to end the season on a high note.
Jasmine Paolini, Coco Gauff, Qinwen Zheng, and Emma Navarro, will complete the top eight seeds in the Chinese capital. Other notable players in the mix include Barbora Krejcikova, Jelena Ostapenko, Maria Sakkari, Daria Kasatkina, Paula, Badosa, and Donna Vekic, among others.
2019 champion Naomi Osaka will receive a wildcard to compete at the event for the first time since her championship run almost five years ago.
Ons Jabeur, Marketa Vondrousova, Elina Svitolina, Karolina Pliskova, and Linda Noskova, are among those who had to withdraw from the event.
On that note, let's take a look at the streaming details for the 2024 China Open WTA 1000.
