Day 3 of the Wuhan Open 2024 will see the start of the second round. Coco Gauff, fresh from her triumph at the China Open, received a first-round bye. She will begin her quest for back-to-back titles against Viktoriya Tomova.
Aryna Sabalenka's 15-match unbeaten run came to an end in the quarterfinals of the China Open against Karolina Muchova. She has never lost a match in Wuhan thus far and won the title there in both of her prior appearances. She will face Katerina Siniakova in the second round.
