Wuhan Open Prize Money Breakdown: How much did 2024 champion Aryna Sabalenka and runner-up Zheng Qinwen earn?

Aryna Sabalenka won the 2024 Wuhan Open title on Sunday, October 13, by defeating home favorite Zheng Qinwen 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 in the final. This victory marks the Belarusian's fourth title of the season and her third consecutive triumph in the Chinese city.

Sabalenka's victory in Wuhan earned her a hefty $525,115 from the tournament's $3,221,715 prize pool, while Zheng took home $309,280. Coco Gauff and Wang Xinyu each received $159,439 after being eliminated in the semifinals.

Jasmine Paolini, Magdalena Frech, Magda Linette and Ekaterina Alexandrova, each got $73,193 for a quarterfinal finish.

Meanwhile, players eliminated in the third round of the Wuhan Open — including second seed Jessica Pegula, eighth seed Daria Kasatkina, ninth seed Beatriz Haddad Maia, 13th seed Marta Kostyuk, Yulia Putintseva, Erika Andreeva, Leylah Fernandez, and Hailey Baptiste — each took home $36,568.

Sixth seed Emma Navarro, seventh seed Barbora Krejcikova, 10th seed Anna Kalinskaya, 15th seed Donna Vekic, 16th seed Mirra Andreeva, Katerina Siniakova, Veronika Kudermetova, Viktoriya Tomova, Amanda Anisimova, Lesia Tsurenko, Bernarda Pera, Jaqueline Cristian, Kamilla Rakhimova, Lucia Bronzetti, and Anastasia Potapova, each bagged $20,714 for a second-round finish.

Those knocked out in the opening round of the WTA 1000 tournament, including Madison Keys, Marie Bouzkova, Katie Boulter, Ashlyn Krueger, Katie Volynets, Sofia Kenin, Ajla Tomljanovic, Caroline Dolehide, and Camila Osorio, each pocketed $14,846.

Anna Danilina and Irina Khromacheva won the 2024 Wuhan Open doubles title on October 13, defeating the American pair of Jessica Pegula and Asia Muhammad 6-3, 7-6(6). The winning team received $154,640 while the runners-up took home $86,980.

Former US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez and Aldila Sutjiadi, along with Katerina Siniakova and Ekaterina Alexandrova, were eliminated in the semifinals. Each duo got $46,715.

Meanwhile, top seeds Erin Routliffe and Gabriela Dabrowski, second seeds Ellen Perez and Nicole Melichar-Martinez, sixth seeds Veronika Kudermetova and Chan Hao-Ching, and Olivia Nicholls and Tereza Mihalikova, each bagged $24,165, courtesy of a quarterfinal finish.

Fourth seeds Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani, fifth seeds Zhang Shuai and Elise Mertens, along with Olivia Gadecki and Elina Avanesyan, among others, crashed out in the second round and pocketed $13,693 each.

Meanwhile, those knocked out in the opening round — including seventh seeds Luisa Stefani and Demi Schuurs, Miyu Kato and Nadia Kichenok, and Shuko Aoyama and Eri Hozumi — took home $9,128.
