The 2024 Paris Olympics will see 11th-seeded Italian Lorenzo Musetti taking on 13th-seeded Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the bronze medal match. Both players mounted great campaigns at the Olympics, that came to an end in the semi-finals.
Auger-Aliassime has had a moderate season in 2024, with a 25-17 record and reaching the final of the Madrid Open being the highlight for the Canadian. At the Olympics, Aliassime showed great form as he defeated the likes of Marcos Giron, Maximilian Marterer, and fourth seed Daniil Medvedev.
In the quarter-final, Aliasiine notched up another impressive victory over two-time French Open runner-up Casper Ruud in an intense three-set battle. However, Auger-Aliassime's campaign came to an end at the hands of Carlos Alcaraz who blew him 6-1, 6-1 in the semi-final.
Lorenzo Musetti has a 30-20 record in 2024, with the Italian being in terrific form in recent weeks. Musetti reached two semi-finals, and two finals in the last four events that he has played, including a semi-final at this year's Wimbledon. At the Paris Olympics, Musetti did not drip a set till he reached the semi-final. He defeated Gael Monfils, and Mariano Navone in the first two rounds.
The Italian then defeated seventh seed Taylor Fritz in the third round, and then won against third seed and defending Olympic champion Alexander Zverev in the quarter-final in straight sets. However, the inspired campaign was put to a stop by the top seed Novak Djokovic who defeated Musetti in straight sets in the semi-final.

Musetti, in his quarter-final against Zverev, won more than 80% of points behind his first serve. The Italian countered Zverev's service games by attacking the German's second serve, winning 56 percent of the points on that front. Musetti mostly played from the baseline, as he came to the net only 9 times.
Both players have been in great serving form, so the match might be decided by who returns better. Also, Aliassime played his mixed doubles match and will need to recover quickly. Given the recovery factor, and the current form Musetti will have the advantage in the game.
