Roger and Mirka Federer reportedly expecting twins again
It is common knowledge by now that Swiss tennis maestro Roger Federer and his wife are expecting an addition to their family. But what is surprising to know is that they are reportedly expecting twins, again! As reported in the Daily Express, sources close to the family have told Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten that Mirka is expecting twins.
Switzerland’s first Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and his wife Mirka have already given birth to a pair of twins – Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, who were born in 2009. That made Federer part of a very select group of superstar athletes who have twins, a group that includes Michael Jordan and Pele. If he does indeed have twins again, it would put him in a very rare space.
The news that Mirka was pregnant for a second time was posted by Federer on his Twitter account, through the following tweet:
Mirka and I are very happy to share the news that Myla & Charlene will be big sisters in 2014! Happy Holidays…..

The 17-time Grand Slam champion is yet to confirm the news that Mirka is expecting twins again. When asked about it during a press conference at Indian Wells, Federer said, “If it was [true], I wouldn’t tell you guys. It’s a secret.”
Twins run in Federer’s family; his older sister also has twins.
