Roger Federer's wife Mirka gives birth to twin boys; Federer 'incredibly happy' at 'miracle'

Tennis icon Roger Federer and his wife Mirka have been blessed with a second set of twins – this time a pair of boys. The couple consider the birth of their sons, who were delivered yesterday, a ‘miracle’.

“Mirka and I are so incredibly happy to share that Leo and Lenny were born this evening! #TwinsAgain#Miracle.” the World No. 4 posted on his Twitter account.

The two little boys, Leo and Lenny are born nearly 5 years after the arrival of their twin sisters, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva. Sources claim that Mirka, a former tennis player herself, was anticipating twins, but the family never acknowledged that.

World famous basketball player Michael Jordan and football player Pele are fathers of a set of twins each. However, Federer, who holds the record of 17 Grand Slam victories, has become a rare sportsperson to be the father of two sets of twins.

The responsible father of four children now, Federer had admitted earlier that he had no second thoughts about missing any tournament to be with Mirka during the birth, even if it was the French Open. He has already withdrawn from the ongoing Madrid Masters, and is expected to pull out from the Rome Masters next week too.
