Roger Federer pulls off yet another spectacular 'tweener' lob in Dubai
Even at the age of 32, Roger Federer‘s still got it.
In the second set of his first round match against Benjamin Becker at the Dubai Tennis Championships, Federer unfurled his now patented ‘tweener’, or the between-the-legs shot, to salvage a seemingly hopeless point. As Federer ran at full speed towards the baseline to retrieve Becker’s lob, the point seemed like a lost cause for the Swiss Maestro.
But in a touch of genius that the world has become accustomed to by now, Federer hit a lob from between his legs to stun both Becker and the crowd. The inch-perfect lob landed right in the opposite corner, and as Becker sent a feeble return back into the court, Federer caressed the putaway shot at the net to steal the point.
Federer may not be ranked in the world’s top 5 any more, but he can still dazzle tennis watchers in a way that no one else can. Watch the video below:
