India’s Sania Mirza, along with her Zimbabwean partner Cara Black, brushed aside the top-seeded duo of Su-Wei Hsieh and Shuai peng to reach the final of the Pan Pacific Open, Tokyo.

The unseeded Indo-Zimbabwean pair eased into the final in an hour and fourteen minutes, beating their fancied opponents in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.

This is the second consecutive scalp claimed by the unseeded duo of Mirza and Black as they had previously eased past fourth-seeded tandem of Groenefeld and Peschke in their quarter-final tie.

They will now await the winner of the Liezel Huber-Hao Ching Chang and Alla Kudryavtseva and Anastasia Rodionova match, which is due to be held later in the day.
