Sharapova hires Groeneveld as coach

Bradenton(US), Nov 22 (IANS) Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova has hired Sven Groeneveld as her coach.

“I’m happy to announce my official partnership with Sven Groeneveld,” Sharapova, former world No. 1 and now ranked fourth in the world, said Thursday, Xinhua reported.

Groeneveld, from the Netherlands, had coached Monica Seles and Mary Pierce.
