Danielle Collins enthralled by Tommy Paul's girlfriend Paige Lorenze's strawberry-themed bag
Danielle Collins expressed admiration for Tommy Paul's girlfriend Paige Lorenze's fashionable strawberry-themed bag. The Queen's Club champion, who recently pulled out of the Rothesay International in Eastbourne, has arrived at Wimbledon with his girlfriend ahead of the tournament starting on July 1.
Lorenze posted a picture on Instagram, showcasing herself in a stylish gingham romper while enjoying the iconic Wimbledon strawberries at the All-England Club. She complemented her look with a matching bag from her brand, Dairy Boy.
Collins was captivated by Lorenze's strawberry-themed bag, expressing that she needed one for herself with a heart-eyes emoji.
"I need that little bag 😍," Collins commented.
Ana Ivanovic jokes with husband about Ons Jabeur's football prowess
Ana Ivanovic teased her husband, ex-footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger, for not taking his tennis training seriously as she was reacting to Ons Jabeur's impressive football skills during a Wimbledon practice session.
Jabeur paused her training to juggle a tennis ball with her feet and finish with a header, which Ivanovic humorously compared to her sessions with Schweinsteiger.
"Looks like a training session with @BSchweinsteiger 😅🎾," she posted on X.
Taylor Fritz shared his thoughts on Novak Djokovic's quick recovery from knee surgery
Taylor Fritz, speaking from personal experience, commented on Novak Djokovic's quick recovery from surgery for a right knee injury he suffered during the 2024 French Open.
Fritz, who suffered a similar meniscus tear at the 2021 French Open and underwent surgery, noted that post-surgery recovery focuses on healing rather than additional muscle injuries. This makes Djokovic's swift comeback predictable.
"You have full strength immediately. You never lost full strength. It’s just about recovering from the actual surgery itself, not any muscular thing. So I’m not surprised. I believe he got in to do surgery before," Fritz said during an appearance on the Tennis Weekly podcast.
The American tennis star also mentioned that Djokovic has more time to regain full fitness than he did before the Wimbledon Championships.
"I think his recovery time, I think he has more time than I had, actually. I know for a fact my first match at Wimbledon was exactly 20 days after my surgery. So I played a little less than three weeks after my surgery. Basically three weeks. I think I saw something saying, he’s on, like, I think like 19 or 18 or 20 [days] right about now, so he’s gonna have a whole extra week than I did," Fritz added.
Novak Djokovic is currently testing the waters at the All-England Club before confirming his participation in the grass-court Major. Taylor Fritz, on the other hand, is battling it out at the Rothesay International in Eastbourne as a top seed. The American tennis star reached the quarterfinal where he will face Shang Juncheng on June 27.
Holger Rune and Novak Djokovic engage in friendly banter over Denmark vs. Serbia Euro 2024 match
Holger Rune shared that he and Novak Djokovic exchanged a friendly banter about the Denmark vs. Serbia soccer match at UEFA Euro 2024. Denmark and Serbia faced off in their final group-stage match, with Djokovic attending the game in Munich to support his fellow Serbians. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, allowing Denmark to advance to the Round of 16 while Serbia was eliminated.
Rune discussed the match with Djokovic before it began and recounted their conversation at the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic at London's Hurlingham Club. The Danish tennis star joked that despite the result, he and Djokovic remain good friends. He also mentioned he had planned to watch the match in Munich with Djokovic and was pleased with the outcome.
“Definitely. We had a long conversation in the locker room. We are still friends, so that’s good. He actually went to Munich. We were speaking about going together. Idk how to describe the match…but atleast we went through,” Rune said.
Tennis icon Serena Williams playfully blamed herself for her dog's 'shady' behavior
Serena Williams hilariously confessed that her dog Chip, who has Rafael Nadal’s name, turned out to be shady due to her influence. Williams playfully posted an Instagram story that said dogs acquire similar personality traits as their owners and wrote:
"I now know why my dog is shady."
Serena Williams got her first puppy in 1999, named Jackie Pete (Jack Russell Terrier breed), and her second dog in 2004 named Lauerlei (Shih Tzu breed). Both the dogs are unfortunately no longer with Williams as they passed away in 2015 and 2022, respectively.
