Rafael Nadal was cautious of comparing Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz to the 'Big Three'
Rafael Nadal discussed the emergence of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in men's tennis. However, the Spaniard refused to compare the duo to the 'Big Three'.
Sinner and Alcaraz have been the two best male players in the world over the past year, sharing all four Grand Slam titles between them. However, Nadal believes that their comparisons with the 'Big Three' are still premature.
Nadal believes that it is too early to compare the young stars to himself, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic as the Serbian is still competing at the top level. However, the Spaniard did admit that Alcaraz and Sinner are creating their own era with a successful year in 2024.
"We need to wait but of course this year, already two Grand Slams each, number one, number two in the world, so they are creating their own story. I mean, I think it's not the moment to compare eras because Novak is still there. Roger and I, we left, we're gonna leave soon but that's part of the sports career of everyone so now it's new generation coming," Nadal said.
