2017 was a year marked by comebacks. Tennis veterans, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, swept through 2017, claiming two Grand Slams apiece. While the Fedal comeback was the highlight of the year, 2017 also saw some youngsters emerge on the scene, Andrey Rublev and Denis Shapovalov being two of them.

#5 Denis Shapovalov
Denis Shapovalov was awarded the ATP Emerging Player of the Year after putting in some scintillating performances over the year. Aged just 18, he is presently ranked 51 in the world. Shapovalov won the Wimbledon Junior Grand Slam in 2016 and his best performance in a senior Grand Slam came at the US Open this year where he reached the fourth round.
Shapovalov's greatest moment in his career thus far came earlier this year when he defeated Rafael Nadal in the third round of the Montreal Open. The Canadian is certainly one to look out for in 2018 and is capable of an upset or two.
