US Open 2024 Winners: Complete list of men's and women's singles and doubles champions, and others

This year's US Open provided fans with some exhilarating matches and significant upsets. Last year's champions, Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff entered Flushing Meadows in great form but shockingly crashed out in the opening rounds.

Even this year's French Open and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz exited in the second round, citing his lack of rest and refreshment and the excruciating New York heat halting him from being his best.

However, the home crowd was blessed to see the American contingent shining at the Slam as they were a part of three of the available five finals in different categories. Let's take a look at all the champions from the US Open 2024:

World No.1 Jannik Sinner is finally rising to the top stage of the game, ending the year's slam on a high note. As the reigning Australian Open champion, Sinner displayed amazing domination on the hard courts and has a 90% win rate in 2024. This was just his second Grand Slam win, but his gameplay and persona have already established him as one of the best players of this generation.

With this win, Sinner became the first Italian man to lift the prestigious trophy and etch his name in history books. Despite being in an array of controversy before the tournament, having tested positive for an anabolic agent in March, he avoided doping bans after an independent tribunal permitted him to compete, citing unintentional contamination. He also became the youngest player to win the Australian Open and US Open in a season in the Open Era at 23 years, 23 days.

Sinner defeated America's top-ranked player, Taylor Fritz, at the legendary Arthur Ashe Stadium in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 7-5. He completely justified his standing as the world's highest-ranked player, losing only one set throughout his campaign in New York. While Sinner has yet to move ahead of the semifinal rounds in both Wimbledon and Roland Garros, he will be looking to build upon this great winning form and challenge them in 2025.

Aryna Sabalenka flew at Flushing Meadows this season with her assertive and aggressive baseline play, where her shots were often too fast and powerful for any of her opponents. She also had a similar campaign to Sinner, defeating American Jessica Pegula in straight sets 7-5, 7-5 at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Sabalenka is also the Australian Open champion and has established herself as one of the best hard-court players. Like Sinner, she also displayed domination at Flushing Meadows, losing just one set in her entire campaign.

She became the first Belarusian to get her hands on the US Open and the fifth woman to win the Australian Open and US Open in the same year, besides legendary players like Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Angelique Kerber and Martina Hingis.

The Asian pairing of Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson played great tennis and got their hands on the US Open men's doubles trophy after defeating Germans Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz in straight sets 6-4, 7-6(4).

They only lost one set throughout their US Open run and defeated the top-seeded pairing of Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in straight sets in the quarterfinals. Purcell and Thompson reached the finals of Wimbledon this year, and after winning the US Open, they have justified their talents as a pairing.

After being heartbroken at the All-England club earlier this year, it was only justified that the duo finished off the match and won their first Slam with an ace from Purcell. This was their fifth title together, and they have been close friends since childhood, with Thompson's father coaching them during their early days.

Seventh seed Jelena Ostapenko and Llyudmyla Kichenok defeated Zhang Shuai and Kristina Mladenovic in the final of the women's doubles at Flushing Meadows in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 to lift their first Slam together.

The pair showcased unreal form at the tournament, not losing a single set in their campaign. Another exciting fact showcasing their dedication to the game is that Kichenok postponed her wedding as she progressed through to the semifinals and then to the final.

US Open 2024 Mixed doubles champions: Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori

The third seed All-Italian pairing of Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori defeated America's Donald Young and Taylor Townsend in the mixed doubles final at the US Open 2024 in straight sets 7-6, 7-5. They hardly lost more than one set in their entire campaign and cruised comfortably over their opponents.

This was the duo's first mixed doubles Grand Slam title, while Errani has been a successful doubles player, having won all the Slams earlier in her career between 2012 and 2014.
