Video: Caroline Wozniacki and Roger Federer react to US Open results

In the men’s third round, Adrian Mannarino never had a chance against quintuple US Open champion Roger Federer who won 6-3, 6-0, 6-2 over the Frenchman in 80 minutes.

Caroline Wozniacki, lost to Camila Giorgi 4-6, 6-4, 6-3: (Q. What do you think went wrong out there?)
“Well, I won the first set. I had many break point opportunities in the second I didn’t take, and, you know, all of a sudden she came into the rhythm and just started hitting everything and it was starting to go in. She put me under pressure and I started to play a little short, and then all of a sudden she was all over the ball.”

Roger Federer, beat Adrian Mannarino 6-3, 6-0, 6-2:
(Q. What do you think about your next opponent, Tommy Robredo?)
“I think he’s a very good player. Mentally and physically really tough. I think he showed that in Paris this++ year. I think he won three five-setters in a row. He’s done very well for many, many years until he got some injuries and stuff. He’s also a player I’ve known since a long time. He came through the juniors with me. He’s only a year younger than I am. I know his game well. He knows mine really well. We have played I think over 10 times on the tour. I think he’s got a great forehand, so I have to be wary of that always against him.”

Roger Federer, beat Adrian Mannarino 6-3, 6-0, 6-2: (Q. You’re facing Robredo next. What will be the key in that match?)
“We’ll see. Naturally he will be playing more like my second… Yes, my first opponent plays flat, my second with spin, my third: flat and now the fourth, plays with spin again. So I should look more into what I did with Berlocq rather than Mannarino.”
