Video: Querrey, Stepanek and Blake progress in Cincinnati

Wins for Janko Tipsarevic and Radek Stepanek while Jerzy Jankowicz crashes out on day one of the Cincinnati Masters.

The vocal crowd were in good voice, as American Sam Querrey faced Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia in the first round of the Cincinnati Masters on Monday.

The American took a tight opening set 7-6, before Tipsarevic, currently ranked 20th in the world, took the second set 6-3, and the decider 6-4.

Next up, Fabio Fognini the 14th seed took on the hugely experienced Radek Stepanek.

And Stepanek was always comfortable, taking the match 6-2 6-4 in routine fashion.

The late match on court saw another American – James Blake – take on Jerzy Janowicz.

Blake was once ranked as high as fourth in the world, while his opponent was the 16th seed here and reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon last month.

And Blake caused an upset, winning 6-1, 7-5.
