At the 2023 Wimbledon, Koolhof along with his partner Neal Skupski, defeated Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the final. He also won the 2022 French Open in mixed doubles with Ena Shibahara. In 2024, Koolhof won three Masters 1000 titles - in Paris, Shanghai and Indian Wells.

He then moved to Germany for four years to improve his tennis skills.
