The 2025 tennis season is not far off. ATP and WTA Tours will see events beginning in the last week of December itself.

As a result, all the top players have begun their preparations to be physically and mentally fresh and ready to tackle another hectic calendar year. However, in what is an interesting trend, Dubai seems to be the destination of choice for many tennis stars to train for the new season.

Let's look at some of the pre-season training of the top ATP and WTA players.

#5. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa, Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka training in Dubai

One of the power couples in the modern tennis world, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa were spotted together on an off-season vacation. The pair took a trip to Iceland to get away from the rigors of professional tennis.

However, even though the Greek is yet to officially return to training, the Spaniard has already begun her training routines. She was spotted at the NAS Sport Complex in Dubai, beginning her pre-season training.

Tsitsipas is currently in Dubai. The former World No. 3 will play at the World Tennis League along with Badosa. The two will represent the Eagles team at the competition beginning on December 19.

Among other players, who are currently in Dubai, include Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina. While Rybakina has entered into a new coaching partnership with Goran Ivanisevic, Sabalenka was training at full tilt to have a good 2025 following her 2024 season.

#4. American players were seen training in their own home, Naomi Osaka in the States as well

Coco Gauff wasted no time after her victorious end to the 2024 season, which saw the 20-year-old American player win the WTA Finals in Riyadh. The youngster hit the ground running, starting her off-season routine, using a unique "Work from home technique" in Florida.

Gauff was not the only American player training from the comforts of their home. Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul were seen training together, getting themselves ready for the next season.

Paul also shared his shirtless photos from the training session in Florida, which drew appreciation from his fans, and fellow players as well.

Naomi Osaka is also another prominent player who was seen in America. The Japanese player has been training at UCLA under the watchful supervision of her new coach Patrick Mouratoglou.

#3. Emma Raducanu and Iga Swiatek begin their off-season training from their homes

Emma Raducanu has been struggling to keep her tennis career on track since her historic 2021 US Open triumph. The Brit has been plagued with injuries ever since. She did have some decent results in 2024 but would look to put her best foot forward. On that note, the young Brit has hit the practice courts back in the UK.

Another player who has begun her training routines from home is World No. 2 Iga Swiatek. The Pole made a major personnel change to her team, hiring accomplished coach Wim Fisette for the 2025 season. The player began her pre-season preparations in her home in Warsaw.

#2. Carlos Alcaraz begins his training in Spain, and Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter seen in Monaco and London respectively

Carlos Alcaraz began his 2025 preparations in his hometown of Murcia. The young Spaniard had a great 2024, but it saw the World No. 3 falter against some unexpected results due to bouts of inconsistency. However, in the light of the new season, the Spaniard has hired Samuel Lopez alongside Juan Carlos Ferrero to be on his coaching team.

On the other hand, another tennis couple, Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter have also begun their 2025 training. While the Brit was in London, the Australian was seen sweating it out in Monaco.
