Top seeds Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams progressed through to the second round with straight set wins over their opponents on Day 1 of Wimbledon.

7-time Champion Roger Federer, 2-time Champion Rafael Nadal and 2013 Champion Andy Murray are all in action on the second day of the Championships.

Here are 5 must watch matches on Day 2:

  1. Sam Groth Vs Jack Sock

Jack Sock had a terrific Roland Garros where he reached the fourth round for the first time, before losing to 9-time champion Rafael Nadal. His opponent Sam Groth is one of the fastest servers on the tour and will look to impose himself on the young American on Tuesday.

Sock did not play any lead up tournament prior to Wimbledon, while Groth lost to Joao Sousa in the second round at Nottingham. The pair of Vasek Pospisil and Sock beat Groth/Sergiy Stakhovsky in the first round of doubles competition on the first day.

These two haven’t met before in singles.

Match Time: Around 5:30 pm IST.

  1. Agnieszka Radwanska Vs Lucie Hradecka

After a disappointing first round loss at Roland Garros, Agnieszka Radwanska will look to get back to winning terms at the Majors. She played in two preparatory tournaments ahead of Wimbledon – Nottingham and Eastbourne. She lost in the semifinals at Nottingham and was a runner-up at Eastbourne.

Her opponent Lucie Hradecka knocked out Ana Ivanovic in the first round of the Australian Open earlier this year and is a tricky opponent for the No. 13 seed.

Hradecka has won all her four matches against Radwanska in the past, but they came way back in 2005-06.

Match Time: Around 6 pm IST.

  1. Rafael Nadal Vs Thomaz Bellucci

Rafael Nadal is seeded 10 at this year’s Championships. The 2008 and 2010 champion won a grass court title after five years in Stuttgart, which gives him a lot of confidence heading into SW19.

Despite a loss in the first round at queen’s to Alexandr Dolgopolov, the Spaniard is in good shape to go deep into the draw at Wimbledon. His opponent Thomaz Bellucci, lost in the first round at Nottingham to Alexander Zverev and his record against Nadal is poor.

The Brazialian has failed to win a set against the 14-time Grand Slam champion in their four previous meetings.

Match Time: 5:30 pm IST.
