Alex de Minaur vs Arthur Fils preview
Ninth seed Alex de Minaur of Australia will take on Arthur Fils of France in the fourth round of Wimbledon on Monday.
De Minaur has made rapid strides in men's tennis during the past year or so. He has won a couple of matches at this year's Wimbledon, beating compatriot James Duckworth 7-6(1) 7-6(3) 7-6(4) in the first round and Jaume Munar of Spain 6-2 6-2 7-5 in the second round. He then got a walkover from Lucas Pouille of France in the third round.
Fils, meanwhile, is one of the most promising youngsters in tennis. The 20-year-old Frenchman beat Dominic Stricker of Austria 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 in the first round and caused a major upset by prevailing over Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 7-6(2), 6-4, 2-6, 6-6 in the second round, as the latter gave him a walkover.
Fils then toiled hard to beat Roman Safiullin of Russia 4-6, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the third round to set up a clash with de Minaur.
Alex de Minaur vs Arthur Fils head-to-head
De Minaur and Fils have met each other only once on the ATP Tour so far, with the latter winning that match in Barcelona this year. The Frenchman, therefore, leads their head-to-head 1-0.

Alex de Minaur vs Arthur Fils prediction
De Minaur is one of the most consistent players on the Tour at the moment. His game is relatively error-free and he can hit reasonably well off either wing. However, he does not have a major weapon as such and his serve is not good enough to win him a lot of free points on grass.
Fils has a very powerful forehand and if he can take de Minaur down on any surface, it is grass, where his robust game could be rewarded. However, the Australian probably has too much big-match experience to prevail against Fils. Fils might be able to run the Australian close, but will have difficulty overcoming him.
Pick: De Minaur in five sets.
