Wimbledon champion Andy Murray starts off Montreal Masters with a win

Andy Murray has won his second round match against Marcel Granollers 6-3 7-6(2) at the Montreal championships.

The two time winner of Rogers Cup came into the second round with a bye, which showed few back draws in the second set as a result of  his month off from the court and lack of match practice.

Andy Murray started off the first set amazingly as he got to a 4-1 lead in no time, but Granollers was in no mood to let the second seed take the game away from him that easily.

It was in the second set, when things looked tough for Andy. Granollers was the first to break the serve and took the lead in the fourth game.

Granollers also reached a set point to take the game into the final set in the ninth game. But heavy hitting Murray did not want to take things into the final set and won the second set in tie-breaker.

“It was tricky, it is extremely windy here,” Murray said in a courtside interview, as reported by Yahoo Sport. “I didn’t feel that I had my timing and got pushed behind the baseline.”
