3 high school standouts in Mario Cristobal's Miami Hurricanes to the class of 2026 ft. Jordan Campbell
Coach Mario Cristobal's Miami has been making waves in the class of 2026. The Hurricanes have already landed three commitments from the class and are ranked 10th overall in the country, as per 247Sports.
The Canes are creating a strong squad for the future and are poised to further strengthen it. Cristobal and company have dished out 245 offers to some of the best high school athletes in the country from the class of 2026. They will hope to land as many talented recruits from the class as possible going forward.

#3 Dereon Coleman
Three-star quarterback from Orlando, Florida, Dereon Coleman, announced his commitment to the Miami Hurricanes on July 3 this year. He chose the Hurricanes over Arkansas, USF, Oklahoma and South Carolina, among others.
The culture at Miami was one of the main reasons for the prospect's commitment.
"The culture," Coleman said, as per On3. "The fanbase. Who doesn’t want to play at Miami? Who doesn’t want to play in that city? You can live your life there after a long career. You can go back to Miami and be that dude. I feel like I’m meant for this. That’s why I really chose Miami."
Coleman is ranked No. 347 nationally and is the 23rd-best quarterback in the class of 2026. He is also the 65th-best player from his home state of Florida.
#2 Malachi Toney
Malachi Toney, a three-star wide receiver from American Heritage High School, announced his commitment to the Miami Hurricanes on Aug. 22 last year. The Florida native chose the Canes over top programs such as Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn and Colorado.
Toney's relationship with the coaching staff was one of the driving factors in his commitment to the Hurricanes.
"What stood out for me was coach KB (wide receivers coach Kevin Beard)," the receiver said after his commitment, as per On3. "He’s a great coach and ever since he was there, he made sure he built a relationship with me."
Toney is ranked No. 239 nationally and is the 37th-best wide receiver from the class of 2026, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the 45th-best overall prospect from the state of Florida.
#1 Jordan Campbell
Jordan Campbell is the highest-rated committ in Miami's class of 2026. The four-star linebacker from Florida pledged his allegiance to the Hurricanes on Nov. 21 last year. He chose the Hurricanes over other top schools such as Auburn, Florida State, Michigan and Nebraska.
Campbell has taken multiple visits to the Hurricanes' campus and loves Mario Cristobal's coaching staff.
"I love the staff over there right now. I see them trying to keep everyone from South Florida home," the linebacker told CanesCounty before his commitment. "I feel like they are bringing back the old feeling of winning championships at Miami again."
Campbell is ranked No. 66 nationally and is the fourth-best linebacker from the class of 2026, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the eighth-best overall prospect from the state of Florida.
