3 high school standouts at Troy Taylor's Stanford for the class of 2025 ft. JonAnthony Hall

Stanford's class of 2025 is shaping up to become one of the best in the ACC. The Cardinal's 2025 commits are ranked No. 34 in the country and are the sixth-best in the conference, as per 247Sports. It has been a decent jump in the rankings for coach Troy Taylor's team from last year when its class was ranked No. 49 in the country.

The Cardinal have landed 19 commitments from some of the best high school prospects in the country. Taylor and company have extended offers to 100 athletes from the class of 2025 and will look to bolster the roster for the upcoming seasons.

Let's take a look at the Cardinal's top three commitments from the class of 2025.

Top 3 high school standouts committed to Stanford's 2025 class

#3 Landon McComber

The three-star recruit from Las Vegas, Nevada, Landon McComber, announced his commitment to the Stanford Cardinal on June 7 this year. He chose the Troy Taylor-coached program over other top schools such as UCLA, Arizona, Boston College and California.

Stanford had a fantastic June in terms of recruiting, as it landed seven top high school athletes from the class of 2025. The 6-foot-2 linebacker was one of them, as he logged an official visit to Palo Alto in the same month.

McComber is ranked No. 546 nationally and is the 56th-best linebacker in the country, as per 247Sports Composite. He is also the sixth-best player from the state of Nevada.

#2 Bear Bachmeier

Bear Bachmeier, the four-star quarterback from Murrieta Valley High School in California, is one of Stanford's best signings from the class of 2025. The 6-foot-1.5 athlete chose the Cardinal on Feb. 5 over schools such as Alabama, Boise State, Arkansas and Brigham Young.

Bachmeier is the younger brother of Hank Bachmeier, a former quarterback for Louisiana Tech and Boise State. Tiger, his second elder brother, plays wide receiver for the Cardinal. Bear Bachmeier threw for 2,613 yards and 21 touchdowns while throwing just eight interceptions during his junior year at Murrieta Valley.

Bachmeier is ranked No. 338 nationally and is the 25th-best quarterback from the class of 2025, as per 247Sports Composite. He is also the 32nd-best overall prospect from the state of California.

#1 JonAnthony Hall

The four-star recruit from Fishers, Indiana, JonAnthony Hall, announced his pledge to the Stanford Cardinal on June 28 this year. He is the Cardinal's highest-rated player from the class of 2025. Hall chose the Palo Alto-based school over teams such as Northwestern, Purdue, Indiana and Notre Dame.

Hall is a multi-sport athlete at his high school, as he also plays basketball and runs track for his team. He grabbed 69 receptions for 1,055 yards and six touchdowns in a breakout season last year.

On the athletics field, Hall placed second in the long jump (23 feet 1 inch) and was a member of the Tigers' third-place 4x100 relay team at the 2024 Indiana boys track and field championships.

Hall is ranked No. 189 nationally and is the 20th-best wide receiver from the class of 2025, as per 247Sports Composite. He is also the fourth-best overall prospect from the state of Indiana.
