Three SEC teams that can target AJ Dybantsa
#3 Kentucky
Kentucky extended an offer to five-star small forward AJ Dybantsa back in November last year. The 6-foot-8 athlete is yet to decide on his final list of schools, but Kentucky has a legitimate shot at landing the talented forward.
Dybantsa was excited to receive an offer from John Calipari and company, as he felt 'blessed' to hear from the Wildcats.
"I’m just blessed, you know? It’s a high-major school with a lot of NBA players and college champions, so knowing they’re watching me and evaluating me, that’s a good feeling," Dybantsa told KSR back in November. "It was my most recent offer, a high-major blue blood. I’m blessed that they’re noticing my talents."
#2 Alabama
Alabama is another SEC program that has shown significant interest in the nation's best-ranked recruit from the class of 2025, AJ Dybantsa. The five-star prospect received an offer from the Crimson Tide and has them in his top-10 schools.
The small forward talked about knowing Alabama's assistant head coach, Preston Murphy, and the program in a recent interview with On3.
"I've known Preston (Murphy), he used to coach me at EYBL. He used to be my Expressions coach, my freshman year playing 17s," Dybantsa said, as per On3.
"I know a lot about him (Murphy), but I don't know a lot about the school. I've talked to Nate Oats when I got the offer. They had a good run. Two of my teammates (Derrion Reid and Aiden Sherrell) went there, so they obviously think it's good, so we'll see."
#1 Auburn
Auburn is one of the leading candidates to sign the five-star recruit, AJ Dybantsa. The 6-foot-8 small forward received an offer from the Auburn Tigers in late August last year.
Dybantsa spoke about the program and its head coach, Bruce Pearl, in an interview with On3.
"(Bruce Pearl) was here this weekend and I saw him in Istanbul," the Massachusetts native said. "I went on a visit. It was more of the same, what he has in store for me, and what he thinks I can be."
