Colorado OT Jordan Seaton has 4-word message for Kevin Concepcion following transfer portal decision

Colorado offensive tackle Jordan Seaton has sent a message to NC State wide receiver Kevin Concepcion amid Concepcion's impending transfer decision. Concepcion is one of the hottest players to have entered the portal this cycle, and several top programs, including the Colorado Buffaloes, seek after him.

Seaton commented under the wide receiver’s post on Instagram of a photoshoot in a Colorado jersey:

“Sign that dotted line.”

Which programs is Kevin Concepcion considering?

On3’s Pete Nakos reported that Kevin Concepcion has a short list of six programs as his next destination. The list consists of Alabama, Colorado, Florida State, Miami, Texas A&M and South Carolina. The sophomore has at least two years of college eligibility left that he’d bring to whichever program he ends up choosing.

Concepcion had an impressive freshman season that saw him make 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 11.8 yards per reception. He also added 320 rushing yards, highlighting how versatile he can be.

However, his sophomore season paled in comparison, with 53 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns at 8.7 yards per reception. He rushed for 36 yards and two more TDs. This has been attributed to NC State’s instability at quarterback after transfer Grayson McCall picked up a season-ending injury before getting replaced by CJ Bailey.

Kevin Concepcion’s versatility is one of his greatest assets, making him so highly sought after. The Colorado Buffaloes, with their Heisman-winning star receiver Travis Hunter on his way to the NFL, are looking for replacements. Concepcion’s profile looks like a good fit.

However, Coach Prime’s team faces fierce competition, especially from the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Tide hosted Concepcion last weekend, giving the program ample opportunity to sell itself to the in-demand star. The program is going through an overhaul in its offense that will see departing quarterback Jalen Milroe potentially get replaced by five-star prospect Keelon Russell.

Concepcion’s agent, Bryan Miller, said the wide receiver had “an excellent experience” on his visit to the Tide:

“Coach (JaMarcus) Shephard, the wide receivers coach, did an outstanding job of thoroughly analyzing KC’s game tape, providing insightful feedback on how his skill set would be utilized within the offense.”

Deion Sanders is notable for his utilization of the transfer portal as a primary recruiting channel. Getting Concepcion will further boost his reputation.
