Douglas Utu College Offers: Full list of schools in contention for 4-star interior OL

Bishop Gorman High School's Douglas Utu is one of the most highly sought-after offensive linemen in the country. The 6-foot-3.5 lineman is set to visit multiple top schools in the coming weeks.

Utu has already paid a visit to Washington from May 3 to 5. As per On3, he will visit Michigan this weekend and is also scheduled to visit Alabama, Nebraska, Oregon and Tennessee.

Utu will pick one of these six schools ahead of his senior year. The No. 2 player in Nevada opened up about his upcoming visits and said that he will decide where he will go after the official visits to these schools:

"Official visits will have a big impact on my decision," the offensive lineman told On3. "They will show me a lot."

Douglas Utu is currently ranked as the third-best interior offensive lineman and the No. 53 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He also talked about what he was looking for from each school before making his final decision:

"There is no order to the schools yet," Utu said. "All the schools are together right now. What is important to me is development, life outside of football and the environment I am going to be in."

Here's a closer look at all the programs in contention to sign the big man and what he had to say about each of them.

Douglas Utu's college offers

#1. Alabama

Alabama is undoubtedly one of the most esteemed programs in the country. Douglas Utu, along with other elite prospects have been on the Crimson Tide's radar for next year. The lineman spoke about his expectations from the program and the coaching staff at Alabama:

"I have not visited Alabama yet, so my visit there will be big. I know coach Kalen DeBoer and some of the coaches from Washington, so I think they will do well at Alabama," Utu told On3. "The coaches are good guys and I want to spend some time with them and learn about the school."

#2. Michigan

Utu also has the defending national champions penciled in as one of his top destinations. He is scheduled to visit Michigan's campus at Ann Arbor this weekend. He also talked about his relationship with head coach Sherrone Moore:

"I am looking forward to spending more time with the coaches," Utu said. "Coach Sherrone Moore is a great guy, he is a coach I like a lot and he was the coach that offered me from Michigan. We have a good relationship."

#3. Nebraska

There will be a little familiarity at Nebraska for Douglas Utu as the team's offensive line coach, Donovan Raiola, is a good friend of the offensive line coach for Bishop Gorman, Kea Toledo. Utu spoke about their similar styles of coaching:

"I visited Nebraska last year for the Purdue game," Utu said. "I like coach Donovan Raiola a lot on the offensive line. He teaches a lot like my offensive line coach at Gorman teaches. They know each other well, they are a lot alike and I like that."

#4. Oregon

Douglas Utu was on Oregon's campus for an unofficial visit earlier this month. He was there for a full weekend and had a chance to talk to the team's offensive line coach, A'lique Terry. He is scheduled to visit them again, this time for an official visit in the coming weeks:

"I was at Oregon for the first time earlier this month and I liked it a lot," Utu said. "It was one of my favorite visits that I have been on... I enjoyed talking with coach A’lique Terry. He knows a lot about football, he is easy to talk to and I really had a good time."

#5. Tennessee

Tennessee is another college in the running to sign Douglas Utu. The offensive lineman visited the school in April and met with the team's coach Glen Elarbee:

"I was at Tennessee in April and I like how they work," Utu told On3. "They hardly ever stopped and I liked the way they worked hard. Coach Glen Elarbee is the coach that recruits me and I feel good about him and the way he coaches."

#6. Washington

Washington is the first school Douglas Utu had an official visit with. He went to Washington's campus earlier this month. He has had two visits with the team so far with them:

"I had a good time at Washington and I like it a lot," Utu said. "I like coach Brennan Carroll a lot. He is a cool guy, his coaching is very good and I like how their offense works... My first time there was for the Oregon game before the coaching change, but I have enjoyed both visits."
