Five-star prospect Miikka Muurinen schedules visits to top three schools this fall ft. Kentucky

Miikka Muurinen, the five-star prospect from Chandler, Arizona, is one of the most touted players in the country. The 6-foot-10 power forward currently has more than 20 offers from some of the top colleges in the nation.

Muurinen has received offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Nebraska, BYU, Kentucky, Duke, Texas Tech, Michigan, and Texas, among others. Despite all these offers, the forward has yet to take a visit to any of these schools. He has, however, planned out three trips to Utah, Kentucky, and Duke.

Muurinen is a top-25 high school athlete from the class of 2026. He is ranked no. 24 nationally and is the best power forward in his class, as per On3 Industry Rankings.

#3 Duke

Duke is one of the contenders to sign the coveted five-star recruit from Arizona, Miikka Muurinen. The 6-foot-10 athlete from Compass Prep is set to take a visit to Duke's campus on the weekend of September 27–28.

The Jon Scheyer-led side is one of the best basketball programs in the country and they are already in the market for some of the best high school hoopers from the class of 2026. Although they haven't landed any commitment from the class of 2026 yet, they have extended offers to three top high school prospects from the class.

Five-star prospects Brandon McCoy and Jordan Smith received offers from the Blue Devils in July. Murrinen, on the other hand, was offered in late July. Landing one of these three recruits will certainly boost the Blue Devils' roster going forward.

#2 Kentucky

Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats extended an offer to five-star power forward Miikka Muurinen on July 22 this year. Now the 6-foot-10 forward is scheduled for a visit on September 14.

Kentucky is yet to sign a coveted recruit from the class of 2026, but it has extended offers to five high school athletes in the class. Four of those are five-star prospects, including Muurinen.

"They’ve reached out and I’ve talked to the coaching staff about my future and possibly a future with Kentucky," the 6-foot-10 power forward said, as per KSR.

Muurinen had a fantastic Peach Jam tournament, scoring 21 points on 8-11 shooting in the title game. His best performance came against the Florida Rebels, when he went off for 33 points on 13-23 shooting.

#1 Utah

Utah is the first team that will host five-star prospect Miikka Muurinen in September. The Finnish athlete is set to take a visit to Utah on September 7 to start a three-school visit trip.

Utah has a close relationship with the basketball program in Finland. The Finnish player currently on the team, Miro Little, will be important to Utah in their efforts to pursue Muurinen.

Utah has extended offers to two other athletes from the class of 2026. Four-star shooting guard Junior County and center Jamyn Sondrup are the two athletes, apart from Miikka Muurinen, who have received offers from the Utes.
