The recruiting season is once again upon us and all colleges and universities are working hard to acquire the top high school prospects in the country. Michigan State is among the top schools vying to sign some of the best young talents in the nation.

The Spartans are set to host seven official visits this weekend. Braylon Collier, the three-star recruit from Ohio, is the latest to commit to Michigan State.

Here's a closer look at three high school prospects the Michigan-based school should target for the 2025 season.

3 high school prospects Michigan State should look out for

#3. Brad Fitzgibbon, DT

The Michigan State Spartans were among the top three programs listed by three-star defensive lineman Brad Fitzgibbon. He also had Kansas and Iowa on his final shortlist.

Fitzgibbon is ranked No. 86 among defensive linemen in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports' composite rankings. In addition, he is ranked as the class's No. 855 overall talent.

According to 247Sports, Fitzgibbon has offers from around 20 colleges. He just made an official visit to Michigan State, and over the next two weeks, he has visits scheduled in Kansas and Iowa.

#2. Charles Taplin, WR

Charles Taplin is set to pay Michigan State an official visit from June 7–9, according to On3's Jason Killop. Michigan State extended an offer to Taplin on May 8.

"I met Coach Hawk [Spartans' wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins] one day after practice, and then next day I got on the phone with him and Coach (Cordale) Grundy," Taplin told Killop. "That’s when they offered me. They like my speed and length."

Taplin will finish his senior year at Texas Red Oak High School. He also has offers from Arizona State and San Diego State, among others.

#1. Bryce Jenkins, DL

Bryce Jenkins is a top four-star offensive lineman who received an offer from the Spartans in December last year, as per On3's EJ Holland.

Jenkins is a two-way lineman for Friendship Collegiate Academy in Washington, D.C. He is listed as the 26th-best defensive lineman in the nation and the third-best prospect in D.C. from the 2025 class, according to 247Sports' composite rankings.

Jenkins has already received offers from several other schools, including Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Michigan, Florida, LSU, Miami (FL), Minnesota, Penn State, Rutgers and Wisconsin, among others.
