"10k game next Friday": Auburn RB commit Alvin Henderson looks to solidify his high school record as he shares IG story of latest game stats
Alvin Henderson, a four-star running back from Elba High School, is having a terrific senior year. The 5-foot-9 rusher has amassed 2,432 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns this season, leading his team to a 7-2 record through nine games.
In his five seasons with the Tigers, Henderson has racked up 9,742 rushing yards and is poised to breach the 10,000 rushing yards mark this season. The Alabama native is looking to achieve that feat in the next game, as he shared an Instagram story claiming that he will reach the landmark in the next game.
"10K game next Friday," Henderson wrote in the caption of his latest Instagram story.
Henderson was impressive in the latest game against the Georgiana Panthers on Friday. The four-star prospect rushed for 243 yards and scored four touchdowns while carrying the ball 17 times en route to winning the game 49-22.
That win has improved the Tigers' record to 7-2, as Henderson & Co. find themselves on a six-game winning streak. Elba will take on the Florala Wildcats from Florala, Alabama, on October 25.

MaxPreps' National Player of the Year watch list includes Alvin Henderson among one of the 10 athletes shortlisted on Thursday.
Henderson crossed the 300-rushing-yard mark four times this season and had 446 yards and nine touchdown outings in a 78-80 loss earlier this season. Since then, he has helped his team win six straight games and has been dominant throughout that stretch.
Henderson is the leading rusher in the country and is poised to become the first running back from the state of Alabama to breach the 10,000 rushing yards mark this season.
Alvin Henderson is ranked No. 124 in the country and is the sixth-best running back in his class, as per On3 Industry Rankings. He is also the eighth-best overall prospect from the state of Alabama.
Henderson announced his commitment to the Penn State Nittany Lions in April, but flipped his decision and committed to the Auburn Tigers in June this year.
